Girish Timmapur, a mechanical engineer by qualification, is a founding partner and design director at Aquanautics. He has 25+ years of experience in designing and building swimming pools, specialty pools and water features in the GCC region and India. He has successfully completed engineering of pools and water features for some of the most prestigious projects in the Middle east including The Royal Atlantis at The Palm Dubai, Hilton Salwa Beach Resort in Qatar, Fairmont Hotel in Fujairah, King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Jeddah, KSA , Marriott Resort in RAK, Aloft Hotel in Dubai, Jumeirah Naseem Hotel in Dubai and many more. Having led both design and engineering teams on many projects, his expertise covers all aspects of swimming pools, specialty pools and water features including coordination with landscape consultants, architects, structural consultants and MEP consultants.

Complete engineering design of in-ground and roof-top swimming pools, specialty pools, competition pools (Olympic and Half Olympic), and indoor pools. Water feature designs including fountains, waterfalls, and splash pads. Engineering design of water parks and activity pools. Preparation of design drawings for authority approval (DM, Trakhees, Emaar, Nakheel) shop drawings and submittal services for contractors. Project management services for pools and water features packages. Post contract services like on-site supervision, review of shop drawings, review of material submittals and method statements, responses to RFI’s, third party inspection and review of pool and water feature works, witness and approve testing & commissioning processes.
